About

Mr. Wagner was raised in a military family outside of Philadelphia, PA where he was passionate about succeeding in the classroom and on the soccer field. He was captain of the soccer team at Lebanon Valley College and was always an active member in community-based and leadership programs. He rose quickly through the marketing ranks in New York City and spent much of his career in higher education, serving in leadership roles both in Washington, D.C. and Tampa, FL. As a Director, Ben is responsible for cultivating synergistic partnerships between his clients and Benchmark International. He takes a consultative approach to M&A and makes informed decisions based on data and market intelligence. He joined Benchmark because he firmly believes that all middle market companies with adequate representation and resources can out-perform Wall Street on an international level.

Experience

In addition to his experience in marketing and higher education, Mr. Wagner has also made the time to be active in the entrepreneur space. He started a business development and management consulting firm during the COVID-19 pandemic, and he serves on multiple boards and executive committees. As a business growth expert, he identifies opportunity gaps in businesses and executes growth strategies to help ease the burden on business owners and ultimately increase their companies’ value. He takes a personal interest in each of his clients and is motivated to create mutually beneficial relationships to ensure that business owners reach their maximum desired value. 

Passion

Ben takes personal interest in each of his clients and believes successful relationships are built upon trust and open communication. He advocates for his clients throughout the M&A process and leans on Benchmark’s global resources to ensure no stone is left unturned. Each client is unique, and Ben’s greatest satisfaction comes from helping business owners realize their maximum value as they prepare for the next chapter in life.  

Mr. Wagner is also proud to contribute time, energy and resources to local charities in the community. He is on the Board of Directors and serves as the Marketing Chair for Disrupt the Bay, he sits on the Academy Executive Committee at the Chi Chi Rodriguez Youth Foundation, and he supports many local charities through Leadership Tampa Bay.
