A New York native, Derek’s career has led him from the Big Apple to London and then to Hong Kong, finally settling in Tampa after 20 years overseas. As a seasoned leader and business innovator in complex and highly regulated environments, he has an extensive background in strategic acquisitions, business development, origination, sell-side mergers & acquisitions, corporate development, and management. He prides himself on being decisive in developing new business, identifying strategic opportunities, establishing business relationships, and creating proprietary opportunities. Mr. Banker has comprehensive experience working with Fortune 100 companies, and he has worked with clients spanning financial services, pharmaceuticals, legal services, public sector, publishing, retail, and consumer goods industries, and he brings a global perspective to the table. EXPERIENCE

Derek started his career with Business Process Management Solutions, followed by six years at Morgan Stanley where he implemented best-practice business operation solutions. He then moved to London where he led international outsourcing engagements for the financial services sector. Next, Derek was assigned to establish Far East operations, where he successfully implemented an Asia Pacific operation and managed one of the fastest-growing divisions. From the ground up, he built $200M in new services and entities in Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand with responsibility for overall sales, marketing, operations, and strategy development. He participated and contributed to the company's alignment and sale to a large Germany conglomerate in 2012. Following the full acquisition, Derek was retained to establish Asia Pacific operations for a US-based workforce solution and talent acquisition provider focused on managed services, process outsourcing, and direct sourcing services. As part of his impressive background, Mr. Banker has also led strategy & business transformation practice focused on assisting c-suite executive management of global clients with business transformations and growth initiatives. He built $200M in the turnover of an Asian and Australasian BPO company operating in 22 cities across eight countries with 1000 employees under management. He also directed due diligence and execution of the acquisition of Australia-based Creative Solutions firm for $7.7 million.

Exploration, pursuit, and motivation are the framework perspectives and techniques that he applies to help businesses enhance the delivery of integrated M&A sell-side solutions.
