BENCHMARK INTERNATIONAL SUCCESSFULLY FACILITATED THE TRANSACTION BETWEEN HEXAGON ELECTRICAL (PTY) LTD AND MONTSI INVESTMENTS (Pty) Ltd

Hexagon Electrical designs, manufactures and re-conditions a large range of flameproof and non-flameproof motors, switchgear, transformers, flameproof and non-flameproof enclosures, flameproof auxiliary equipment, and standard and flameproof motors for ventilation fans and dust control systems.

Operating since 2006, Hexagon Electrical's well-trained and qualified staff provide for all aspects of manufacturing in-house, enabling faster production at high-quality standards. All products are manufactured in-house and can be certified internationally. 

Founder, Theuns du Toit, commented on the transaction: "I'd like to take the opportunity to thank the Benchmark International team for their assistance through the entire sale process. The Benchmark International team persisted in finding the right acquirer for our business, looking to grow the business further by expanding into new markets across the African continent. We are excited by the new growth phase which the business has entered and the various growth opportunities that would be unlocked."

Montsi Investments is a South African family investment company that has been operating since 1990. It is entrepreneurial, innovative, and actively value adding. Its objective is to acquire controlling interests in well-run, profitable, and cash-strong businesses into which the company feels it can add value. The company's focus is making acquisitions in the engineering support services sector where it has already concluded two transactions facilitated by Benchmark International. 

Commenting on behalf of Montsi Investments, Arif Montsi said of the transaction: "We are delighted by the acquisition of Hexagon. We are confident that working closely with Theuns and his team we will grow the business of Hexagon in South Africa and the rest of Africa where we have operations in Ghana and Kenya.
