About

Jean grew up in a small, historic town near Cap-Haïtien, Haiti, where community, unity, and service were deeply valued. He attended an all-boys Catholic school for 13 years, where he was involved in sports and academic competitions. He also led the youth choir at his father’s church and organized large community fairs to promote local products. These experiences fueled his passion for making a positive impact in his community and in the lives of others. After high school, he earned his degree from the University of Central Florida, and then found his way to Benchmark International, where he loves helping others achieve their goals and developing successful exit strategies. His role has grown to where he manages a team of analysts, oversees the lead generation for one of our transaction offices, and ensures that we align with the interests and goals of our prospective clients. Jean finds great fulfillment in helping people, solving problems, and creating meaningful value. 

Success

One of Jean’s biggest successes at Benchmark International was helping a client who had previously had a bad experience with another firm. They were skeptical about the process, but he took the time to explain how Benchmark International is different and how they go above and beyond to maximize the value of our clients’ companies. Gaining their trust, he secured their engagement, and not only did we get their deal done in record time, but Benchmark International also exceeded their expectations with a price they once thought was unattainable.

Another success story involved a client who wanted to sell her business within two years to avoid renewing her building lease. She had reached out to multiple firms, but none could give her the confidence that they could close the deal in time. After understanding her concerns, Jean worked closely with our transaction team to assess the feasibility of the timeline. Jean took on the challenge, and within just one year, he successfully closed the deal and secured her a premium offer well above what she had anticipated. Seeing the relief and excitement on her face was a reminder of the impact we have in helping business owners achieve their goals.

Experience

Jean leads Benchmark’s Deal Origination team for the state of California, coaching his team, identifying and cultivating potential business opportunities, doing quality control, and matching directors with the right businesses. He chose to join Benchmark International because it was the only organization that truly made him feel like he would be set up for growth and success. Unlike other companies, Benchmark stood out for its commitment to developing its teams, an aspect that Jean feels has directly led to his own personal growth and flourishing leadership skills.
