Benchmark International Successfully Facilitated the Transaction Between Modus high-tech electronics GmbH and Mycronic AB

Benchmark International is pleased to announce the acquisition of Modus by Mycronic.

Modus, based in Willich, Germany, develops optical scanner systems for industrial use. It specializes in automatic optical inspection (AOI) systems for the testing of electronic components. In addition, the company provides custom software and hardware solutions to enhance the inspection process for electronic manufacturers globally.

Mycronic is a Swedish high-tech company that develops and manufactures high precision production equipment for the electronics industry. With more than 2,000 employees, the company is represented in over 50 countries.

Shenzhen Axxon Automation Co., Ltd. (Axxon), a subsidiary of Mycronic, provides advanced coating systems. The acquisition of Modus, previously one of Axxon’s key suppliers, strengthens Mycronic’s market position by expanding its product portfolio along the value chain. This strategic move brings substantial benefits through cost efficiencies and augmented synergy effects.
