Benchmark International is looking for a Customer/Buyer Experience Specialist to add to our growing team. The role involves direct interaction with buyers in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), addressing inquiries, ensuring the highest level of customer service is provided. A successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and strong customer service orientation.  A thorough understanding of our services, the ability to troubleshoot, and a passion for creating a positive customer experience is required.

Job Responsibilities
Your experience will be a great resource for the Benchmark team, however as a Customer/Buyer Experience Specialist, you will act under the instruction of and be trained by Benchmark International's experienced leadership team, with combined experience of over 40 years in the M&A markets.

Your specific duties as a Customer/Buyer Experience Specialist will include:

  • Develop and implement processes for managing key M&A buyers effectively.
  • Interact with M&A buyers on a daily basis, responding to their queries and guiding them to the appropriate service.
  • Focus on enhancing the M&A buyer experience through effective management of the buyer portal, profiles, events, inquiries, mandates, communications, key account management, and data sources.
  • Oversee and optimize the buyer deal portal to ensure seamless user experience.
  • Plan and coordinate events to engage and inform buyers.
  • Manage buyer inquiries, mandates, and resources efficiently.
  • Drive buyer-specific processes and best practices within the organization.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend buyer data sources to enhance decision-making.
  • Ensure the integrity of buyer data in the CRM system through regular reviews and maintenance.
  • Maintain buyer records by updating account information.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Manage large amounts of incoming calls and buyer inquiries.
  • Identify and assess buyers’ needs to achieve satisfaction.
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies.
  • Take the extra mile to engage buyers.


As a Specialist, you must be highly energetic and passionate individual with a positive and highly motivated 'can do' attitude. You must have the strong desire and ambition to succeed in this hugely rewarding industry. It is vital for your role as a Specialist that you possess excellent verbal and written communication, analytic, mathematical, and interpersonal skills as well as presentation abilities.


Specific qualifications for the Specialisgt include:

  • High school diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Process development skills.
  • Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative.
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Proficient personal computer skills include Microsoft Office suite of products, electronic mail, calendar, recordkeeping, routine database activity, and graphics.
  • Basic business and financial acumen.
  • No personal history of enforcement actions by the Securities Exchange Commission, FINRA, or any state securities regulatory bodies.
  • The ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to influence others.


Compensation
This position will receive an annual salary in the range of $50,000 - $65,000.
