Benchmark International is pleased to announce the transaction between Dublin-based managed print services company, Office Technology, and leading certified technology company, Intuity.
Established in 1988, Office Technology oversees all aspects of clients’ print infrastructure, supplying and servicing Canon multi-functional devices as a gold member, as well as providing the software to manage the cohesion of machinery, predominantly for SME and corporate clients.
The acquisition complements the services of Intuity Technologies, an IT solutions partner operating in Galway, Dublin and Carrick on Shannon that employs 67 people and last year posted a total turnover of more than €7m. The combined entity supports 2,000 customers in Ireland, the UK, and the US and plans to focus on the expansion of the IT business and its reach to provide a total IT and printing solution to clients. The company also unveiled plans to invest, expand and add jobs over the next three years at its three offices.
Pat Duffy, Director of Office Technology, said: "I chose Benchmark International because they listened to what I had to say, they came across as people; they were human and they got where I was coming from. They listened, and they asked very poignant questions. They outlined their process which made sense to me. It was a very strategic process and it was almost like a funnel that they were going to start out here and come down to an ultimate sale. And, I believed when Benchmark International told me they were going to sell my business that they would sell it."
Benchmark listened to what I had to say, they cast the net wide and Benchmark International found me a strategic buyer and they found me a business that wasn’t in Dublin. The outcomes I got were perfect, all of the staff within Office Technology are still there, a number of the staff have gotten promotions, everyone got a pay review, so everybody is happy. It just means I can walk down any street in Dublin now and not have to cross the road, so that makes me happy also.
“We are delighted to be joining Intuity. With shared visions and ambitions, we look forward to continuing to deliver the same high standard of service with the added value of increased IT services and solutions for the modern workplace,” said Pat Duffy.
Intuity CEO, Gerard Cox, said: “Together, Intuity and Office Technology Limited represent a competitive advantage which will hugely benefit our customers.
This development takes Intuity one step closer to fulfilling its ambition of becoming the largest and best managed IT provider in Ireland while further building on our international expansion.”
Benchmark International would like to thank all parties involved and we wish them all the very best of luck for the future.
