About

Connor was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland where he attended the University of Maryland, College Park for both his undergraduate in Finance and International Business and a Master of Finance. Prior to starting university, Connor worked with an international logistics firm out of Buenos Aires, Argentina which drove his interests in finance and international business.

Experience

Connor works on our Special Transactions Team, representing large firms with revenues from $100m to $500m who are looking to sell their business. He’s recently transitioned from the Venture Capital world where he was an investment associate conducting due diligence on hundreds of businesses across nearly every industry. In addition to the investment analysis work, Connor also worked with a boutique outsourced CFO financial consulting firm where he was an FP&A associate and accountant for Private Equity backed businesses. In both roles, Connor built and maintained relationships with C-Suite Executives, Business Owners & Partners, and Investors (Private Equity, Venture Funds, LPs, and Angels).

Prior to joining Benchmark, Connor served as a Finance Associate for an financial consulting firm where he worked with Private Equity owned and Venture backed businesses with top-line revenue up to $100M. Working with these businesses Connor was able to work with C-Suite Executives, Private Equity Firms and Business Owners to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting. In this role, he built and maintained various financial models leading to increases in EBITDA for the firms and higher valuations. Connor assisted the pre- and post-merger processes for Private Equity acquisitions. Additionally, Connor served as an Investment Associate for a Venture Capital Fund and Angel Syndicate group where he conducted the due diligence and analysis of hundreds of businesses leading to millions in invested capital. Prior to those positions, Connor worked in technology sales and operations with DC-based startups in the government procurement space where he worked with Fortune 500 businesses as well as government agencies including the Department of Defense and Department of Energy.
