Nick Hulme

Experience

Before joining Benchmark International, Nick was a national corporate finance partner with a top-five international firm of accountants, and ran a successful award-winning corporate finance boutique firm that advised on acquisitions, disposals, funding, restructuring, and more. Benchmark International was looking for a strong personality to join the UK Board and influence the development of the business and brand, and Nick joined the team and has never looked back. He personally handles several major transactions each year and has been involved in hundreds of deals, ensuring that each is handled with the commitment that each client deserves. He also supports central business development and other central functions.

Passion

Nick has been part of the Benchmark International journey from the start: from the early days when we had a small team of transaction leaders to now, where we have deal teams across the world that are the envy of M&A providers worldwide. He finds success in seeing the people he mentors become the best dealmakers in the industry and the best individuals they can be so that they can provide the most successful outcome for clients.

Success

As well as working on landmark deals, such as the UK's first £1m deal, £10m deal and £50m deal, he has also led Benchmark International's Manchester Office to achieve Insider Magazine's Mid-Market Corporate Finance Team of the Year in 2023, surpassing competition from the region's biggest and best across the accounting and corporate finance community.
