Growing up in Sarasota, Florida, after being born in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, Matthew was shaped by the values of hard work and determination. He always felt a strong drive to be someone his family could rely on, much like his grandfather, which pushed him to excel both on and off the field. During high school at Riverview, Matthew channeled this energy into football, wrestling, and weightlifting, where he learned the importance of discipline and perseverance.

These same values continued to guide him through college at the University of South Florida, where he pursued a degree in Finance with a focus on Investment Analysis. Graduating summa cum laude, Matthew worked diligently not only for his own success but to create a stable future for his family. Whether in the classroom, on the field, or now in his professional life, his motivation has always been to ensure he can be the dependable, protective figure his family needs—today and for generations to come.

Prior to joining Benchmark International, Matthew played a pivotal role at Apex Service Partners in driving the company’s growth by identifying and evaluating acquisition opportunities. With a track record of assisting and supporting over 160 transactions valued at more than $1.6 billion in total enterprise value—including leading 12 deals independently valued at $58 million—he brings extensive experience to the table. Matthew specializes in every aspect of deal execution, from financial modeling and valuation to leading due diligence and managing legal negotiations. His role also involved coordinating debt placement and structuring partnerships to ensure seamless transactions. By building and maintaining strong relationships with business owners and key stakeholders, Matthew helped secure the best opportunities that aligned with the company’s strategic goals. His expertise and meticulous attention to detail guide successful, high-value transactions.
